After dropping an early double-digit lead, Lokomotiv Kuban recovered to defeat CSKA Moscow, 103-94, on Saturday.

Lithuanian forward Mindaugas Kuzminskas went for 25 points sinking three triples and 8/12 field goals overall. Nigel Williams-Goss added 21 points and dished out eight assists in the VTB United League affair. Drew Gordon and Mantas Kalnietis posted double-doubles of 16 points and 11 rebounds, and 13 points and 13 assists, respectively.

The guests, once again undermanned, heavily relied on Tornike Shengelia but his 25 points were not enough for the W. Will Clyburn and Darrun Hilliard had 15 points apiece.

The team based in Krasnodar jumping to 17-6 off its eighth win in a row and forcing CSKA to 16-7 created a favorable edge in the sprint to rank as high as possible in the Regular Season standings behind first-placed Zenit Saint-Petersburg.

UNICS Kazan, currently ranked second at 15-5, visits Astana later Saturday.
