UNICS Kazan forward Mario Hezonja has been named November 2021 MVP of the VTB United League following stunning individual performances that have helped the team win all of its three contests this month (vs. Parma, Astana and CSKA Moscow). UNICS now tops the standings with a 6-1 record.
Hezonja averaged 22.0 points in November (54.4% of shots from the field), along with 6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.0 steals with a PIR of 23.3. He is currently among the best five performers in VTB League in points scored (18.1) and steals (2.0) per contest.
“I am very happy for myself and for the team, – said Mario Hezonja. – UNICS is the United League leader, and this is the most important thing. After a month of hard work, the result was not long to coming. I think that I have been progressing recently under the coaching staff guidance.
