John Brown helped UNICS cruise to their fourth consecutive win in the VTB League with a scoring fest over Enisey

John Brown put up a scoring feast as UNICS Kazan overcame Enisey with a 97-77 victory at home to win their fourth straight game in the VTB League.

Brown posted 25 points on 10-12 FG across 25 minutes on the court to lead all scorers of the competition leaders (12-2). UNICS took an early 36-23 lead in the first quarter and never trailed since.

Mario Hezonja emerged in the second half to post 14 points for the hosts, while Artem Komolov followed with 12 points.

Rion Brown tapped 17 points for Enisey and Ivan Viktorov had 10, as the team suffered its second consecutive defeat to fall to a 4-9 record.

Earlier on Sunday, CSKA Moscow dominated Astana at home and grabbed an 84-65 victory to bounce back in the VTB standings and improve to a 10-4 record.

Marius Grigonis scored 21 points to lead CSKA to this comfortable win, Nikola Milutinov came close to a double-double with 14 points and 9 rebounds, while Ivan Ukhov and Alexey Shved picked up 13 points apiece.

Anthony Hickey tapped 26 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds for short-staffed Astana that fell to a 2-8 record.

On Monday, Zenit got a rather convincing 79-52 win on the road over Zielona Gora, led by Jordan Loyd who banked in 21 points. The winning side improved to 11-3 while the hosts remained at the bottom with 2-11.

Jordan Mickey helped out the victors with 15 points and Sergey Karasev scored 11. For Zielona Gora, Tony Meier was the only double-digit scorer with 11 while Dragan Apic had nine points and 13 rebounds.
