Point guard Conner Frankamp and Zenit St Petersburg have parted ways, as the two sides mutually agreed to terminate their contract early, the team announced Wednesday.

As reported first by gnomip.gr and confirmed by Eurohoops sources, Frankamp is close to signing a deal with Greek side Promitheas Patras for the remainder of the season.

Frankamp, 26, joined the Russian club last summer and made both his EuroLeague and VTB League debut this season. He averaged 7.8 points, 1.4 assists across 17 contests in EuroLeague, prior to the suspension of Russian teams, while he posted 5.3 points, 2.5 assists and 1.5 rebounds per game in the VTB League.

Frankamp is the third player to depart from Zenit following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine; Mateusz Ponitka also parted ways with the club in mid-March and Arturas Gudaitis moved to Napoli with a deal for the remainder of the season.

Jordan Loyd, Billy Baron, Tyson Carter, Alex Poythress have initially left the club, yet returned earlier in March as Zenit continues its VTB League obligations (currently 3rd in the standings with a 13-4 record).
