Zenit officially announced that the club and head coach Dejan Radonjić have mutually agreed to terminate their cooperation, while assistant coach Saša Kosović also left the team.
The Montenegrin coach took over Zenit during the 2025-26 season and guided the team to 20 wins in 31 games. Under his leadership, Zenit reached the Final Four of the Russian Cup and finished third in the VTB League regular season.
However, Radonjić ultimately paid the price for Zenit’s collapse in the VTB semifinals, where the Saint Petersburg side failed to reach the Finals despite holding a 3-1 lead in the series.
Zenit also confirmed that Rostislav Vergun will serve as interim head coach until the end of the season.
