They both needed some powerful individual performances to get what they wanted.

Two powerhouses of the VTB League needed some individual performances of awesome magnitude in order to escape on the road against some worthy adversaries.

Even though Unics Kazan (24-4) was ahead of the score with 20 points, six minutes before the end of the game versus Enisey (11-18), their hosts did not give up. A heroic comeback made it 80 – 84 with 24 seconds to go and then 83 – 85! But Arturas Milaknis was perfect from the free throw line in the next offense, giving his team the win.

Khimki Moscow (21-8) faced some serious problem against Numburk (11-18), falling behind 53 – 38 in the beginning of the second half. But Tyrese Rice and Alexey Shved were not really in a mood of allowing the upset to be completed, helping the Russian team to improve its offensive efficiency and get the last laugh.

VEF Riga (11-18) gave Avtodor Saratov (19-9), one of the best offensive teams in the league, a run for its money, and Krasny Oktyabr (11-17) ran rampant in Finland against the Bisons (8-22).
