CSKA Moscow bettered to 15-2 in the VTB League standings, after taking down second placed Lokomotiv (13-3) at home 83-77. Nando De Colo led the winners with 21 points.
After a very tight first half, the score was tied at 38 points, with Victor Khryapa evening with a dunk a few seconds before halftime.
The hosts kept a 57-51 lead after 30 minutes. De Colo put CSKA ahead by 9 with a 3pointer, which was soon answered by Janning (10 points). Vorotsevich (14 points) expanded the lead to double digits for Dimitris Itouidis’ team midway through the final period, 70-59. The visitors approached to 5 points with less than 2 minutes remaining in the game, yet De Colo and Hines gave the hosts an advantage near the end.
