After ten weeks of action in VTB league Russian powerhouse, CSKA Moscow stays perfect. This week they prevailed over Astana 79-63 at home improving their record to a 10-0.

The host team played without Sergio Rodriguez tonight but still managed to leave Astana behind.

After the slow-paced first half, CSKA was up by 10 points as they had 40-30 lead thanks to Cory Higgins who had 8 points in that period.

The Key: A 7-0 run by CSKA at the start of the fourth quarter closed the doors for visitors to stay close and try to upset the hosts.

The Star: Othello Hunter came back after the injury this week in the Euroleague game against Khimki. Today he had the strong performance for the CSKA scoring 13 points and grabbing 7 boards.

Justin Carter tried to save Astana with 14 points, but that didn’t cut it.

With this loss, Astana sinks to a 2-8 record.
