Since early on Lokomotiv Kuban controlled the tempo of the game, going up by seven points (19-12). Led by Joe Ragland, the hosts increased this lead to double-digits (50-35). Astana, however, reacted in the fourth period, cutting the deficit to just five points (77-72). With 25 seconds on the clock, the visitors were only trailing by one point (79-78), but could not convert on the final possession. The final score was 79-78.

Ragland had himself a game. The 28-year old finished with a game-high 29 points (10/13 FG) (4/6 3p.), and five assists. For the losing side, Justin Carter led Astana’s comeback as he put up 26 points (7/11 FG)

The second unit for Obradovic‘s team also affected the game positively and was a big difference. Loko’s bench scored 51 points, compared to Astana’s 29 bench points.

Kuban’s team improved to a 13-5 record, while Astana slipped to 6-13.
