CSKA Moscow clashed against Astana in their second VTB League game and recorded a fairly easy 86-61 road win.

Astana put up a fight during the first ten minutes and even had a minimal advantage (15-14) but they couldn’t keep up with CSKA for long. The ‘Army Men’ stepped it up a notch and with a strong second quarter went on the halftime break with a 41-27 lead. CSKA kept the control for the rest of the game, gradually increasing the lead and securing the game without any trouble.

Othello Hunter put on a strong performance with 18 points and six rebounds while shooting 6-8 from the field including a triple to beat the buzzer at the end of third quarter. Cory Higgins was right behind him with 16 points.

On the other side, Geoffrey Groselle scored 14 points in addition to five rebounds.
