Marko Simonovic scored 20 points with 5/7 3-pointers to push Zenit St. Petersburg to an 84 – 72 win over bottom-placed Tsmoki Minsk in VTB League.

Minsk was down by 14 points, 74 – 60, three minutes into the fourth period but a 10-0 run headlined by Brion Rush put them back in the game. Jalen Reynolds helped Zenit remain in control by being involved in key plays that made it 79 – 70 for the Russian team and thwarted its opponents’ comeback.

Reynolds finished with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds. For Tsmoki, Zisis Sarikopoulos had 17 points and Yauheni Beiankou 10.

This result improved Zenit to 14 – 7, one win below fourth Lokomotiv Kuban. Tsmoki is 3 – 18.
