Alexey Shved had a great shooting night as he led Khimki to a convincing 82-59 home win over Astana and the 1-0 lead in VTB League playoffs.
Shved nailed 27 points on 5-10 shooting from behind the arc while adding five assists and three rebounds in 26 minutes of action. Thomas Malcolm followed with ten points and eight boards.
For Astana, Geoffrey Grosselle scored 11 points along with seven boards in addition to Anthony Clemmons’s ten points.
Game 2 of the best-of-five series is scheduled for Tuesday (7/5) as Khimki tries to keep their home court unscathed.
