Lokomotiv got the victory in Game 2 of the playoffs series against Zenit and now will look to keep momentum in Game 3.

Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar prevailed over Zenit St. Petersburg with a 70-69 victory in their VTB League playoffs series. The two Russian clubs share respective wins in two games (1-1).

The Krasnodar side was led by Mateusz Ponitka, who finished the game with 11 points, eight rebounds, and two assists, while Moustapha Fall posted a team-high of 12 points.

Jalen Reynolds paced Zenit with 15 points, though the visitors couldn’t complete their comeback late in the final minutes and get a second break on the road.

Game 3 between the two sides will be played this Thursday (May 9) in St. Petersburg.

Earlier in the day, CSKA Moscow strolled past Nizhny Novgorod for 2-0 in their playoffs series.
