Zenit bounced back and had a chance to win the game but EuroLeague champions CSKA Moscow managed to hold on and grab the narrow 69-68 road win in Game 3 of the VTB League semifinals.

The ‘Army Men’ swept the series 3-0 and advanced to the Finals where they will clash against Unics Kazan or Khimki Moscow Region.

It has also to be noted that after this result, the winner of the Unics vs Khimki series will also get a spot in next season’s Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

Sergio Rodriguez led the winning side with 19 points followed by Joel Bolomboy’s ten points. For Zenit, Marko Simonovic scored 15 and Codi Miller-McIntyre 13 points.

It was a fairly balanced game at halftime as CSKA had a small lead (36-33), and although they were up by nine (54-45) in front of the final period, Zenit bounced back and tied the score at 65 with a minute remaining. They eventually had a shot for the win but Evgeny Valiev missed the two-pointer and CSKA got away with the win.
