After making the 2-0 at their home court, CSKA Moscow finished the job on the road against Khimki Moscow, winning 95 – 92 and advancing to the VTB League Finals with a sweep.
Nando De Colo (24 points, 5 assists) and Milos Teodosic (19 points, 7 assists) once again hailed as the main contributors for the Euroleague champions, who also received valuable help from Aaron Jackson and his 17 points, plus 5 rebounds.
In the final game of the season for Khimki Moscow, Tyrese Rice scored 24 points while Zoran Dragic added 20 and 5 rebounds.
Both teams had some ups and downs in their performances, controlling different time-frames of the game in the first half. But CSKA‘s powerful third quarter proved to be pivotal since once coach Itoudis’ players made it 50 – 52 with a three-pointer of Andrey Vorontsevich they never looked back, forcing their opponents into a continuous pursuit.
Khimki made it a really close game in the last minute, coming close 88-89 but a laser-pass by Teodosic’s to Viktor Khryapa, plus De Colo’s free-throw accuracy did the trick for CSKA Moscow.
