He landed on European soil in last October and while a Euroleague rookie, he quickly became a sensation through his impressive, spectacular and substantial game.  After winning the ABA League and Serbian championships with Crvena Zvezda, Quincy Miller is now ready for the next station of his career: Maccabi Tel Aviv.

According to Eurohoops’ sources, Miller has already agreed to become a part of the new and improved Maccabi Tel Aviv that is currently created. The deal was completed recently and now with the season over in Serbia and Crvena Zvezda being the champ again, the official announcement is expected soon. The American forward will sign a $2.6 million (2 million dollars guaranteed for two years, plus 600 thousand dollars as part of bonuses) contract for 1+1 seasons, which includes an NBA opt-out clause for the summer of 2017.

In his debut year in Euroleague, Miller averaged 14.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game, making the All-Euroleague second team and helping Crvena Zvezda reach the competition’s playoffs for the first time ever in the club’s history.

As a highly athletic, modern forward with a rather rich skill-set and ability to be ultra threatening on offense, while efficiently holding his ground on defense, Miller is a top notch addition for the “Yellows”. Maccabi Tel Aviv has also agreed with Sonny Weems, building a quite formidable line of forwards.

The Israelis are ready to do everyting in order to return to their winning ways after two bad seasons that followed the Euroleague triumph in 2014. Since then, coach David Blatt and many key players left, Maccabi lost twice the Israeli league title and a reboot is needed. That’s why the projected budget of the team for the upcoming season is expected to be $25 million, a record number in the history of the club.
