Joey Dorsey put his signature in the papers of his new contract with Barcelona and is expected to be announced quite soon by the Spanish club.
The two sides have penned a 1+1 deal, which includes a team option for the second year.
As Eurohoops had reported, Dorsey was among the players that coach Giorgos Bartzokas wanted to see in the Catalans’ roster for the upcoming season. They have previously worked together in Olympiacos and even though their cooperation was brief, he knows the American center’s strengths quite well.
Dorsey fits the game-plan of the revamped Barcelona that Bartzokas is currently building. He is mobile, exceptionally capable on defense and a strong pick n’ roll finisher on offense.
