Fenerbahce‘s board member Ozan Balaban announced in a press conference that the club extended the contract of Zeljko Obradovic for three more years until the summer of 2020.

The press conference was held in Istanbul and  its topic was the new sponsorship deal of the club with QNB Bank, but of course the news about Obradovic overshadowed everything else.

As Balaban explained there’s a deal in place and only the paperwork remains for the official announcement. Obradovic, an eight times Euroleague champion, is sitting on the bench of Fenerbahce since 2013 and has led the Turkish club to two Euroleague Final Fours.

He has also won two Turkish league titles in three seasons. Born in 1960, Obradovic is considered by many the best European coach of all time and it’s obvious that he wants to build a new dynasty in Istanbul.
