After losing last season’s MVP Nando De Colo to an injury, another major problem appears for CSKA Moscow since Milos Teodosic will reportedly stay out of action for an indefinite amount of period because of over-tiredness.

As Mondo.rs reports, citing a doctor close to the player as a source, the Serbian point guard will be out indefinitely in order to “improve his health and heal old injuries and will most likely not play another game in 2016”.

The doctor also mentioned that an increased amount of fatigue has taken a toll on Teodosic. As for the timeframe in which he will be forced to stay off courts, the doctor replied that it is difficult to say, as of now.

According to Eurohoops sources, the player also suffers from tendonitis on his calf muscle. The initial plan of CSKA is ideally to rest him for two games and a period of seven days, however there is a worst case scenario according to which he will need a month to fully recover.

Teodosic has been playing non-stop at an intense rhythm for quite some time and the months from May until now have been particularly tiring. After completing the season successfully with CSKA Moscow, he joined the Serbian national team for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament and then played in Rio, leading his country’s squad to the silver medal. He then began his obligations with the Russian team where his already heavy workload was further increased after the issue with De Colo appeared.

He is averaging 18.7 points, 8.2 assists and 1.9 rebounds in this season’s EuroLeague along with 12.8 points, 6.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds in VTB League.
