The Italian clubs are free to join the European competition of their choice, as it was announced today by Legabasket after their general assembly.

The press release is the following: “The Assembly of the League Basket Serie A which met in Rome today unanimously ratified the subscription of its shares of the new Champions League Basketball SA and reiterating that their clubs are and will be free to decide for themselves to which European competition they will participate, organized either by Euroleague or by FIBA”.

Back in January, FIBA had announced that no team from Italy with the exception of EA7 Emporio Armani Milano will not play either in the Euroleague or in Eurocup.
