Shelvin Mack is the main target of Olympiacos in order to fill the void of injured Vaggelis Mantzaris. The Butler alumni, who has led his team to two NCAA final fours was cut last week by the Sixers and his signing is a priority for the defending Euroleague champions at this point.
The 23 years old American guard can provide everything the Greek team wants on the floor and he was chosen among dozens of other candidates. The question at this point seems to be if he will consider the offer from Europe, or if he will wait for an other call up from the NBA.
Olympiacos will try to secure his signing as soon as possible and if he denies, then the Greek team will have to start over its search. The deadline for Euroleague transfers is the 20th of February.
