CSKA said no to Fener for Milos

CSKA said no to Fener for Milos

By Lefteris Moutis/ moutis@eurohoops.net

The plan of Fenerbahce/ Ulker to add Milos Teodosic as its main point guard for next season will not become a reality. According to sources close to the situation, CSKA Moscow decided not to let Teodosic go and the negotiations broke down. The stance of the Russian team was firm and probably there is nothing Fener can do at this point in order to get the player.

Teodosic has a contract until next summer (2014) which doesn’t include any kind of buy out clause for this summer. Despite the discontent of the team after the last Final Four, CSKA knew that at this point there wasn’t a player avaible in the market capable of replacing Teodosic who could turn out to be a great upgrade for one of its main rivals in the upcoming Euroleague.

The remaining question is what Fenerbahce/ Ulker will do now and if the Turkish club will try to get an other player, considerind the fact that there is also Bo McCalebb in their roster.

Fener is just a mediocre team with a great coach. Dont expect alot for this season even with the signings of Kleiza Zoric Bielica. Once again the favorites for the F4 are the two greek teams along with CSSKA and the spanish duo Real and Barca. My pick for this year's euroleague is Panathinaikos with CSSKA (equal chances)

ofcourse, fener cannot be said as a f4 candidate from now. not the transfers but obradovic factor makes as hopeful for a good season. that's it.

hahahah. Cska having equal chances with Pao.?Be realistic. favorites are cska and fenerbahce maybe barca or real can catch. dont forget fener has obra kadabra! 8 euroleague championships.

Rizacim, which euroleague title? Fener has 8 Turkish League wins and no title in Europe!

If CSKA earn some money they should sell now.. Or Milos will Be Fenerbahçe player 1 year later for free.

With this move, CSKA acknowledged Fenerbahce as a strong F4 contender. With or without Milos, we will be there !

Last season everybody was thinking the same about EFES ...

last year, teodosic's contract was not ending within a year :) in 2011 he signed a three year deal with cska. next season he will be a free agent nd be free to discuss any team, ofcourse including cska. we'll see.

Everybody ? I think you mean "everybody outside Turkey". In Turkey, we all know that Efes has no supporters and F4 is just a sweat dream for them. This dream would never come to life again :)

Efes has no supporters in Turkey?? You must be a fan of a rival club or an Erdogan-supporter...Efes had the house full in most of the games and is Nr. 3 in ranking in Euroleague last season...also it receives medal in marketing! There is no such good organized Basketball club in Turkey like EFES...

Come on man, are u kidding me ? Last season, Efes had 100-200 supporters in Turkish Beko League games if they are not playing against the top teams. Giving free tickets to Anadolu Holding related people for EL matches should not fool anybody. No fans no success, sad but true, my friend :) How many seasons will it take for you to understand that ?

efes is not a football team for this reason GS and FBU has alot of supporters but have no idea about basketboll. So that teams also have max 200 real basketboll supporters and I think you are kidding about Efes's success :) you can seach on google

Yes, those were the days :) When was Efes' last championship in Turkish Beko league. Sorry, I admit I have a bad memory but please understand me it was long time ago. Please help me to remember. When was it really ?

These facts aren´t right! In truth Efes had full house in most of the Top 16 & Top 8 games in Euroleague(just look at the official FIBA statistics). And there was always a great atmosphre with REAL Basketball fans and spectactular Shows(just look at YouTube, Efes Girls or just ask turkish people). I don´t remember if Fenerbahce nor Galatasaray ever had full house? There are more soccer fans with them than basketball interested ones...also in the average turkish league games there are always less visitors than in Euroleague games, so don´t talk Tenedos before you know anything about the matter!

Dude fbu has a good team n offence but many teams gonna destroy that weak defence! And f4 is impossible!you dont even have a decent 5,or guard.we all saw what happened last year you cant win just with a big budget!
          • doper Thursday - 01 / 08 / 2013 Reply
yes that is possible. f4 is just a dream for now. but zoric is not a decent 5? with mccalebb in the roster, no guard? when spahija was coaching fener, we didn't have a decent 5. vidmar was playing as the main center remember? and that season, until he got injured, vidmar was the hero of all. we have talented players but the point is getting a good team from them. last year we had a coach with a great career but he had his first season away from siena. and we do have some executive prblems. we still have. and this time we have obradovic my friend.
