Laboral Kutxa played against its former leader, Thomas Heurtel, on the road and in the end got a big 87-84 win in Istanbul over Anadolu Efes by finishing the game with the most impressive way.
Colton Iverson had a double double (17 p., 11 r), the captain Fernando San Emeterio had 23 points and character Baskonia produced one more miracle. The Spaniard finished the first half with a 50-33 lead, Anadolu Efes came back in the third quarter and the game was tied at 65-65 early in the last quarter. With a 14-4 run Laboral Kutxa got again a double digits lead (79-69), but Efes didn’t give up. The hosts had their own 15-6 run, cut the lead of the guests to one (85-84) with 24 seconds left. San Emeterio answered with two free throws (87-84), Dontay Draper missed the potential game tying shot, Tornike Shengelia and Heurtel exchanged turnovers and the game was over.
