With Nemanja Nedovic leading the scoring and dropping the dagger near the end, Unicaja Malaga beat Iberostar Tenerife in Game 3 to win the quarterfinal series.

Unicaja Malaga closed the quartet of the Spanish League semifinals teams after defeating Iberostar Tenerife 71 – 61 and winning the series 2-1.

Nemanja Nedovic scored a game-high 15 points with 5/7 from the field and banged the 3-pointer for the 69 – 56 with a bit more than one minute left to seal the deal for the Andalusians.

Dani Diez added 12 points, Alen Omic flirted with the double-double after 10 points and 9 boards while Carlos Suarez notched 10 points plus 7 rebounds.

Malaga will face Real Madrid in the next stage, with the “Blancos” overcoming Andorra earlier.

For the losing side, that struggled to connect to the basket, shooting more 3-pointers than two-point shots and finishing with 8/34 from beyond the arc, George Bogris had 12 points, Aaron Doornekamp 11 with 9 rebounds and Tariq Kirqsay also 11 plus 8 rebounds.

Despite the elimination, Tenerife completed what was a successful season after winning the Basketball Champions League trophy and making it to the Spanish League playoffs.
