Unics Kazan announced the addition of Russian sharpshooter Evgeny Kolesnikov on a two-year deal.

Unics Kazan added fire power to its roster by inking sharp shooter Evgeny Kolesnikov, who penned a two-year deal with the 7DAYS EuroCup powerhouse on Wednesday. Kolesnikov (1.95 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Avtodor Saratov, where he averaged 11 points on 41.2% three-point shooting and 3.5 rebounds in 22 VTB League games last season. He already played for Unics in the 2013-14 season, averaging 2.8 points in 9 EuroCup games, helping his team reach the finals. Kolesnikov started his career with CSK VVS Samara and has played for several other Russian teams, such as Ural Great Perm, Spartak Primorie Vladivostok, Spartak St. Petersburg, Krasnie Krylia Samara and Enisey Krasnoyarsk, as well as for VEF Riga of Latvia and Rio Natura Monbus Obradoiro of Spain. He lifted the EuroChallenge trophy with Krylia in 2013, won the FIBA Eurocup Challenge title with Perm in 2006 and claimed the Russian League crown with Spartak St. Petersburg in 2011. Kolesnikov has also been a member of the Russian national team.
