Lietkabelis Panevezys bolstered its frontcourt by inking forward Zanis Peiners to a one-year deal and also welcomed back to Lithuanian Adas Juskevicius.

Peiners (2.03 meters, 26 years old) arrives from PAOK Thessaloniki, where he averaged 11 points and 3.4 rebounds in 27 Greek League games last season. He started his career in his native Latvia, playing for Ezerzeme, ASK Kadeti Riga, ASK Juniors Riga and Latvijas Universitate, leading the 2012-13 Latvian League in scoring (21.1 ppg.) with that squad. Peiners has also played for MBC Mykolaiv of Ukraine and Ventspils of Latvia before joining PAOK last year. He has also been a member of the Latvian national team.
The club also added Lithuania national team member Adas Juskevicius (28, 1,94 m.). The Lithuanian guard averaged 6.4 points, 1.4 assists and 4.6 ranking in 25 game with Zaragoza in the Spanish Liga Endesa. Juskevicius is a product of Zalgiris Kaunas’ youth teams and he has also played in Germany with Bremerhaven and Lietuvos Rytas.
