The Euroleague career of Dimitris Diamantidis ended, but Panathinaikos still has to compete for the Greek league title against Olympiacos and that was on his mind after the game.

As he said: “I want to congratulate Laboral Kutxa. It was a tough nigt and we are all sad. It’s the end of the road for our team in Euroleague. I just want to say that we all can be angry and have emotions. However, we want our fans to support us, once more. We need them again and I believe they will be a real help for us when we will need them. Our goal is the championship. We have to focus on the Greek league playoffs. We have to keep our mind in the upcoming games and forgot our lost goal. I believe we can get better. It’s wrong to say that I wanted more than anyone to be in the Final Four. There’s no player who doesn’t want to be there. It’s just wrong to say that”.

His opponent, Giannis Bourousis, talked about the end of Diamantidis’ Euroleague career: “I applaud him, like all the gym did. I want to say once more that it was an honor to play with him in the national team and against him as an opponent. I was luck to be here in his last Euroleague game. The result was negative to him, but that’s how sports are”.
