Panathinaikos expected to be fined for overcapacity at OAKA

Euroleague has opened a disciplinary procedure to Panathinaikos after yesterday´s game against Fenerbahce for overcapacity at OAKA.

The game was sold out but as it turned out, more than that permitted fans entered the gym.

The possible sanctions for Panathinaikos can be a fine up to 30.000 euros and also temporary loss of economic right, or even temportary disqualification from the EuroLeague, the governing bodies of the league and prohibation from access to the arena.

The have been already four disciplinary procedures for overcapacity during the last four years, all of them involving Panathanikos in the games against Barcelona (31/1/2014), Cedevita (1/4/2016), Baskonia (19/4/2016) and Olympiacos (18/11/2016).

Still the penalty which is expected to be imposed in this case is a fine.
