Sito Alonso signed a two-year deal with Baskonia last summer but his option for the next season wasn’t guaranteed. Until now.
As Cadena Ser Vitoria reported, the Basques has just guaranteed Alonso’s contract for 2017/2018. This early decision secures his position (if Baskonia want to part ways with him they will have to pay a compensation) while allowing Baskonia to request a certain sum if any other club becomes interested in acquiring him.
Barcelona is already among the teams that have set their eyes on Sito Alonso, considering him a candidate to replace Giorgos Bartzokas.
