“Gal Mekel has a standing contract for the 2017/18 season with Maccabi and he’ll give his maximum to fight for his position on the team”, wrote the Serbian agent on twitter, while the club already announced that the player is not part of coach Neven Spahija plans.
In Maccabi‘s press release Spahija is presented to have notify last night the player that he is not longer considered a member of the team.
It remains to be seen if things can change, or if this dispute has only to do with the buy out of the player.
