Unicaja Malaga added fire power to its roster by inking shooting guard Sasu Salin to a two-year deal, the club announced Tuesday.

Salin (1.91 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas, where he averaged 9.3 points on 47.4% three-point shooting and 95.5% free throw accuracy in 16 7DAYS EuroCup games last season.

He helped Gran Canaria win the Spanish Supercup – the club’s first official title – last season, as well as reaching the Spanish Copa del Rey title game and the EuroCup semifinals in 2016. Salin started his career with Honka Espoo Playboys of his native Finland and also played for Union Olimpija Ljubljana before joining Gran Canaria in February 2015. He helped Honka win the Finnish League title in 2008 and lifted the Finnish Cup trophy with the same club in 2009 and 2010. Salin also led Olimpija to three consecutive Slovenian Cup crowns from 2011 to 2013, as well as being a member of the Finnish national team. He played three Turkish Airlines EuroLeague seasons with Olimpija, averaging four points in 30 career games.
