The club already announced that coach Velimir Perasovic parted ways with Efes and also Slovenian forward Edo Muric, who had a very limited role in the team, was released.

Ergin Ataman is near a deal with the team, according to a report by “Hurriyet”. The former Galatasaray and Turkish national team coach has worked for Efes twice in the past, between 1999 and 2001 and also between 2008 and 2010.

Ataman, despite currently being a free agent, is considered one of the top coaches of Turkey and has won among other titles the 2016 EuroCup with Galatasaray.
