Olympiacos guard Vangelis Mantzaris suffered a right foot sprain in today’s (26/12) practice that might keep him out of the upcoming EuroLeague game against Zalgiris Kaunas, Thursday.

Mantzaris will undergo an MRI that will determine if he’ll be eligible to travel with the rest of the squad to Lithuania.

The Reds are still missing power forward Giorgos Printezis and center Nikola Milutinov, who have yet to join their team’s practices. Milutinov stayed sidelined in the three previous EuroLeague matches against Brose Bamberg, CSKA Moscow, and Anadolu Efes, while Printezis sit out the last two.

Olympiacos are currently leading the EuroLeague standings with an 11 – 3 record and are aiming to close the first leg of the regular season with their third win in a row. Meanwhile, Zalgiris Kaunas, generally considered as the pleasant surprise so far in the season, will look to expand their four-game winning streak to improve their 9 – 5 record.
