The final score was 110-79 and the “Army Team” was just too much for Efes. The hosts got a 35-21 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back, having four players who scored in double digits and three more with nine points each on the way to an easy win.

CSKA Moscow made in total 18 threes in 27 attempts, having a 66,7% percentage of efficiency. That’s just one made three behind the EuroLeague record of 19 made by Siena back in the 2012-13 season. You simply can’t lose when you are shooting like that.

The key point: The score was just 20-18 in favor of CSKA after six minutes of action. However, the players of coach Dimitris Itoudis closed the first period with a 15-3 run which early on set the tone for the rest of the game.

The star: Corry Higgins with 21 points and only once missed shot stole the thunder from everyone else.

Anadolu Efes managed to cut CSKA Moscow’s lead to 12 points at halftime (58-46), but that was the best they could do. CSKA got a 25 points lead (86-61) at the start of the last quarter.

In total, the players of coach Ergin Ataman made 15 turnovers and dished just 11 assists, having no answers to CSKA’s defense. For the other side, the hosts finished the game with 25 assists and just six turnovers. Brock Motum scored 19 points for the losing side.
