The Greek club confirmed the deal and will have the services of the 20 years old forward who was the MVP of the recent EuroBasket U20.
Vasilis Charalampopoulos however still has a multiyear contract with Panathinaikos that includes NBA opt out clauses. The Greek player is not drafted yet, however he is constantly under the NBA radar.
As a member of Panathinaikos, Charalampopoulos couldn’t get enough minutes in order to gain real experience, having played a very limited role last season in 30 Greek league games and 7 EuroLeague contests.
This is expected to change with PAOK, where he will be one of the main options of the team.
