The Greek team got the victory in Madrid after been defeated in the first leg of the competition.

AEK got the win over Movistar Estudiantes 85 – 78 in Madrid. The Greeks moved up to a 4-4 record and now they have tied the Spaniards in Group C.

The key: A 12 – 2 run for Estudiantes tied the game with a less than two minutes left. A couple of free throws converted by Manny Harris and a clutch three-pointer from Delroy James sealed the deal for AEK.

Both teams were exchanging small leads for fifteen minutes but Omar Cook paced Estudiantes to a 7-point lead (34 – 41) at the half with 7 assists.

Manny Harris paced AEK’s comeback and they took the lead in the second half. A great last quarter gave them their fourth win of the season.

The star: Manny Harris led the winners with 19 points and 9 rebounds while Dusan Sakota contributed with 17.

Sylven Landesberg finished with 16 points for Estudiantes and Alec Brown added 14.
