Dogus Balbay and Birkan Batuk of Anadolu Efes Istanbul will play for Turkey, if they are part of the final squad for the first two games of the FIBA World Cup qualifiers, as reported by Basketfaul.
The two players said that Efes let them decide whether to play in EuroLeague or with the national team and they decided to play for Turkey.
Balbay stated that Anadolu Efes had left the decision to them: “We filled the form for the national team from the Federation. The list now includes 24 players. If we are in the final roster, we will play in the national team”.
