Micov’s career-high lifts Olimpia Milano past Trento

Vladimir Micov was in the zone for Olimpia Milano tonight.

Vladimir Micov notched an overall career-high 28 points to lead Olimpia Milano past Dolomiti Energia Trento 88 – 80 in the opening game of Week 22 in the Italian League.

The Serbian forward not only scored more points than any other game of his professional career so far but also produced the lot in the fourth quarter to help his team overcome its opponents.

Micov dropped five points in a row to open the fourth period and put his team up 67 – 63. He proceeded to finish the final quarter with 15 points (!) as Milano posted victory no. 17 in the league.

Trento put up a strong fight for 30 minutes but couldn’t stop Micov and Milano in the final stretch where the Red Shoes dominated 27 – 19. Diego Flaccadori scored 16 points while Shavon Shields posted 15 plus 10 rebounds for their team that fell 10th with 10-12.
