The 27-year-old center was sent to the Raptors via a trade with the Brooklyn Nets but Toronto decided to waive him in order to earn some cap space by getting rid of his three-million guaranteed contract.

While Hamilton was a primary target of Panathinaikos in the case of Chris Singleton’s departure, he will continue his career with the Beijing Ducks in China, as Sport 24 reports.. The Ducks have offered him a quite lucrative deal and he’s agreed to join them.

In China, Hamilton will become a teammate of 2016 EuroLeague champion Aaron Jackson who chose to leave Europe after eight year, despite offers by various clubs.
