Teodosic met with the US media for the first time on the NBA media day and he admitted that he had decided that it was his time to leave Europe.
“For a long time I’ve wanted to come here but I was already under contract,” Teodosic said, speaking to Orange Country Register. “The first time I didn’t have a contract I took the chance to come. The biggest difference is working on my body because this is going to be more physical”.
The physical limitations of Teodosic’s body are the main concern about his NBA future and as he joked, at least he will not have Patrick Beverley, his former teammate at Greek club Olympiacos, guarding him. “It’s going to be much easier for me to play with Patrick than to have him guarding me on another team. But I also wanted to play here because of Blake and DJ (center DeAndre Jordan). They are the best 4-5 combination in the NBA.”
