Banvit came back from a 13-point deficit to defeat Darussafaka 68 – 64 in Bandirma for the 11th Round of the Turkish Basketball Super League.
With their opponents up 38 – 51 in the mid of the third period, coach Saso Filipovski’s players achieved an impressive 30 – 13 partial score to grab their fifth domestic victory of the season.
Tony Taylor scored 13 and grabbed 5 rebounds while Anthony Caloiaro added a double-double of 11 points plus 11 boards. Gasper Vidmar posted 11 points and Damian Kulig 10.
Dacka fell to 6-5 since only Jajuan Johnson contributed big (19 points) for coach David Blatt’s team.
Earlier today, Besiktas edged Galatasaray 80 – 78 behind 19 points (6/11 3s) by former “Cimbom” player Jon Diebler plus 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists courtesy of DJ Strawberry.
