A few days after their EuroCup match, Darussafaka and Galatasaray met again, this time for the Round 17 of the Turkish League regular season.

Once more, David Blatt’s team emerged victorious, beating their opponents 77 – 89 in a manner easier than what the final score shows.

Following a 17 – 27 dominance in the third quarter, Darussafaka proceeded to assume total control and even get a 21-point lead, 68 – 89 with two minutes remaining. The only thing that the “Cimbom” managed to do in the last plays was to make their deficit more presentable.

Scottie Wilbekin notched game-highs 22 points and 9 assists while Stanton Kidd added 18 points and Micheal Eric 17 for Dacka. From the losing side, Jordan Taylor dropped 22 points and dished out 7 assists. Adas Juskevicius scored 14.

Darussafaka is now 10 – 7 and Galatasaray, that was eliminated from EuroCup last week, 6 – 11.

The first day of Week 17 in the Turkish League also included Besiktas routing Yesilgiresun on the road and Tofas Bursa defeating Usak Sportif.
