As Walla.co.il reports, despite the interest for Giorgos Bartzokas who is ready to sign with Dogus Darussafaka and the offer to David Blatt, which seems like a longshot, Maccabi Tel Aviv turned its focus to Andrea Trinchieri.
The coach of the defending German champs, Brose Baskets, should be considered the prime target of the Israeli Euroleague powerhouse, however luring him in Tel Aviv will not be that easy. After all, Trinchieri has a contract with Brose Baskets for next season. Still the fact remains that Maccabi needs a reboot and that will start from signing a new coach, even if the team has already made its first next season addition which is non other than Sonny Weems.
