With the unstoppable duo of Malik Hairston (24 points, 5 assists) and J’ Covan Brown (22 points) pulling the strings, AEK defeated Aris 89 – 81 and won the third-place series of the Greek Basket League 3-1.
Being significantly better right from the start, AEK did not have any problem filling the basket of its opponents per its desires. Meanwhile, the 17 turnovers (in contrast with the 10 assists) that the players of Aris made, prohibited them from answering back in a fitting manner.
Okaro White with 16 points plus 7 rebounds, along with Dominic Waters who added 17 points, fought hard for the team from Thessaloniki, but what ultimately hurt the guests, was the lack of their usual defensive consistency.
