Greece will face Croatia in the first semifinal game of the Turin pre-Olympic tournament and it’s payback time for Dario Saric: “We will try to get some kind of revenge, because they beat us in front of our crowd”.

It’s true that Greece beat in last year’s Eurobasket Croatia in Zagreb and of course one more duel between Saric and Giannis Antetokounmpo is a very tantalizing thoughts.

As Saric said to Eurohoops on this matter: “Antetokounmpo will be an All Star player next year and Giannis Bourousis led Laboral Kutxa to the Euroleague Final Four. Greece is strong, but for sure we have our chances, we have good players and I hope that everything will be good for us”.

With both Giannis and Saric playing on the same position, there’s the inevitable comparison and the Croatian forward makes it: “He is a totally different player compared to me. He has unbelievable athletism, he plays my position but also he is a guard. He has his own strenghs and I have my own strenghs. But nobody is… Michael Jordan. Jordan is only one!”

So what Croatia needs to do? “We have to find more solutions. Bojan Bogdanovic plays unbelievable, because he is an unbelievable player, but also me, mayby Krunoslav Simon, maybe Miro Bilan, maybe Roko Ukic, maybe Mario Hezonja, we must find some way to help Bojan”.
