Mike James will be absent for a significant period of time for Panathinaikos Superfoods after the serious injury in his right hand and as it turned out he was hurt by himself.
James was asked by coach Argiris Pedoulakis to leave the court, when his performance in the practice game between the members of the team was not the one expected. The player did that but also channeled his frustration into a glass panel which he punched. The result was a bad cut in his right hand, an immediate surgery and two months of absence.
James apologized for his behavior to the fans via his twitter account for his actions, but he later erased his tweet. In today’s press conference after the first Greek league game for the season, coach Pedoulakis said on the matter: “Mike has already regretted his action and we are here to support and help him”.
