Brad Wanamaker had an all-around output of 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, Adrien Moerman added 17 plus 7 rebounds as Darussafaka Dogus beat Unics Kazan 71 – 64 for the 18th round of the EuroLeague regular season.

Coach David Blatt’s team now has a 10 – 8 record and is within the playoff spots, while the Russians lost touch with the top 8 falling to 7 – 11 record.

EuroLeague top scorer Keith Langford dropped 16 points for the guests but struggled by Will Clyburn’s (mainly) and Wanamaker‘s defense that forced him to shoot with 4/18 from the field.

Ante Zizic also shined for the winning squad with 13 points plus 5 rebounds. What is more, the bulk of his contribution arrived in the last quarter where he scored 9 to help Darussafaka outplay its opponents 20 – 12.

Unics had previously held a minor advantage thanks to a strong 10 – 17 second period that enabled them to balance the match 33 – 34 despite a rough 23 – 17 start.

Artsiom Parakhouski (13 points, 8 rebounds) and Pavel Antipov (13 points) had troubled the hosts’ defense during that timeframe.

Yet Darussafaka had the final say thanks to a balanced fourth period, the solid D on Langford plus the impact of its three afformentioned players.
