Baskonia proved that they will fight until the end for the home court advantage in the playoffs by dominating FC Lassa Barcelona. The team of coach Sito Alonso got the big 93-79 win after three defeats in row.

Shane Larkin with 18 points led the charge, Chase Budinger added 15 points and three more players scored in double digits for the winners.

Despite playing on the road, Baskonia started the game with a 11-3 lead. Barcelona made it a one point game at the end of the first quarter (21-20) but trailed by 10 points at half time (53-43). Larkin had already 15 points and Adam Hanga 12 for the guests who managed to score 32 points in 10 minutes of action.

The second half started with a three by Budinger who gave to Baskonia a 13 points lead (56-43) and thanks to a 7-0 run, the guests got a 17 points advantage (60-43). The players of coach Alonso scored at will and the defense of the hosts couldn’t contain them.

Barcelona tried to come back, cut the lead to 13 points (60-53), but Baskonia’s answer was a 14-0 run (74-53) and the game was over. The third period ended with the guests leading by 20 points (83-63) and they never looked back.

Tyrese Rice with 15 points was the top scorer of the hosts, but the point remains that Barcelona which now has a 8-12 record couldn’t control the game at any point and Baskonia (12-8) was more than impressive.
