Serbia returned to the elite of world basketball with the silver medal in the Olympic Games, however the 90’s version of Yugoslavia remains the measure that this team will be judged.
This is what the recent Eurohoops poll among the fans for the most successful generation of Serbs proved beyond any doubt.
The feats of Yugoslavia between 1995 and 1999 have not faded at all. In total 6,131 fans voted in our poll and 73.5% of them (4508) picked the 1995 version of the team and its successes until 1999.
The team which won the top of the world in 2002 got 15.4% of votes (945) and the current generation of Serbia is third with 11% (678).
