Zielona Gora named Artur Gronek the team’s new head coach for the upcoming season. The 31-year-old coach has been working as an assistant coach for the last three seasons, next to Mihailo Uvalin and then Saso Filipovski. He helped Zielona Gora win several Polish league titles in the last two years and the Polish Cup in 2015.

It will be Gronek’s first time as head coach ever, but he has great experience so far with teams likeTempcold AZS Politechnika Warszawa and KS Start Gdynia, as well as the Polish national team.

A few of his words about his promotion: “I thank the club for its trust. Of course, the proposal surprised me a little but because there is a large number of very experienced coaches available in the market, but this is obviously and a very positive surprise.”
